This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of retail, hospital and managed care pharmacists.
HOW TO OBTAIN CREDIT
Participants must 1) read the learning objectives and faculty disclosures; 2) view the educational activity in its entirety; and 3) complete the posttest and evaluation form directly after the activity within a maximum of 60 days of participating in the activity. To answer the questions, click on your selected choice for each answer then proceed to the next question. Once completed, click on the Grade Exam button at the bottom of the page. Your posttest will automatically be graded. If you successfully complete the posttest (score of 70% or higher), your statement of participation will be made available immediately. During this interactive and engaging activity, we will focus on addressing the pharmacist’s role in treating patients with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) and at further risk of events beyond LDL-C lowering with statins.
At the conclusion of this program, the learner will be able to do the following:
- Discuss the LDL-C-lowering and other pathways to reduce ASCVD events
- Review evidence on the clinical utility of adjuncts to statin therapy to improve management of patients with or at high risk of ASCVD events
